Elizabeth Herbst Schierman joined the Firm in 2006 and is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Idaho. Ms. Schierman came to the Firm after serving as a federal judicial law clerk to Chief United States Magistrate Judge Larry M. Boyle in the District of Idaho.

Ms. Schierman holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and has experience working with a broad range of intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents for inventions in industries such as the food processing, agriculture, and electrical engineering industries. She is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and is the past Secretary of the Intellectual Property Section of the Idaho State Bar.

Prior to making Idaho her home in 1997, Ms. Schierman lived abroad in Belgium, the United Kingdom, and West Germany. With a father who is a trombonist and a mother who is a violinist, music instructor, and avid quilter, Ms. Schierman has always been a supporter of the arts and enjoys spending time drawing, crafting, playing the piano, and singing in a local music group.
