Elizabeth Herbst Schierman joined the Firm in 2006 and is a registered patent attorney who works with businesses and individuals to identify, protect, enforce, and defend their intellectual property rights. Ms. Schierman came to the Firm after serving as a federal judicial law clerk to Chief United States Magistrate Judge Larry M. Boyle in the District of Idaho.

Ms. Schierman holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and has experience working with a broad range of intellectual property in industries such as the food processing, agriculture, mechanical, and electrical engineering industries. She is the current Chair of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the Idaho State Bar.

Prior to making Idaho her home in 1997, Ms. Schierman lived abroad in Belgium, the United Kingdom, and West Germany. With a father who is a trombonist and a mother who is a violinist, music instructor, and avid quilter, Elizabeth Schierman has always been a supporter of the arts and enjoys spending time drawing, knitting, playing the piano, and singing in a local music group. Ms. Schierman is also active in the local chapter of Girls in Tech, and works with the organization to encourage other women in technology-focused fields.
