Frank J. Dykas, Registered Patent Attorney
Frank J. Dykas is the founder of the Firm, which is the oldest established intellectual property law firm in Idaho. Mr. Dykas is a long-time Idaho attorney having, in addition to his patent practice, served as disciplinary counsel for the Idaho State Bar, Twin Falls County Prosecutor, and as a member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Attorney Panel. Mr. Dykas has purposely restricted the practice to patents, trademarks, copyright, and other intellectual property matters since 1985.
Robert L. Shaver, Registered Patent Attorney
Robert L. Shaver joined the Firm in 1995. Since joining the firm, Mr. Shaver has worked on patent, trade secret, copyright, and trademark litigation, and the drafting and prosecution of patent and trademark applications. Mr. Shaver has been a registered patent attorney since 1998. He is licensed to practice law in the states of Washington and Idaho, the Federal District of Idaho, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Stephen M. Nipper, Registered Patent Attorney
Stephen M. Nipper joined the Firm in 1999. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho and the Federal District of Idaho. Mr. Nipper has worked with an emphasis in patent and trademark prosecution, patent, trademark, and tradedress litigation, patent drafting, licensing.
Elizabeth Herbst Schierman, Registered Patent Attorney
Elizabeth Herbst Schierman joined the Firm in 2006 and is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Idaho. Ms. Schierman came to the Firm after serving as a federal judicial law clerk to Chief United States Magistrate Judge Larry M. Boyle in the District of Idaho.
